Quick post from uni

I should be replying to some other stuff, but instead I'm posting here. I'm in the university computer room at the moment (well, the one in the new maths building). My dad's met lots of friends he hasn't seen for the best part of 40 years, I've seen one I haven't seen since I graduated.
It's good and bad to be back. It's good because there's lots of things that haven't changed and it still feels like home. And the university network is so nice and fast But at the same time it's not home because I can wonder around campus and not see (m)any people I know and I have nowhere to go back to except someone else's house. Plus it's a Saturday so there's pretty much no-one around since weekends are for sleeping.
Mostly it's just nice to get away from the rest of my real life and have a nice little holiday (even if it just lasts a weekend). It's weird how many of my dad's friends have gone into teaching - and how many of them have had kids come here as well (although doing maths - at least I broke the mould by doing a different subject to dad).
