It’s all fun and games until someone loses an arm
Wednesday 1st February 2006 7:01 pm
It's really good fun in our office at the moment. We've got a couple of really horrible projects on. One of them only I really know about (or did until today), the other, which is worse, one of the other people in my department is the only person who knows about it. (When I say know about, I mean know what we're doing with, everyone knows of its existence).
My project, on the other hand, has had everything that could possibly go wrong with it, go wrong. So it's not really a surprise that I've had flu since Tuesday, my boss damaged himself playing badminton Monday night and the only other person in the department isn't feeling that great either. So it's all fun and games.
Annoyingly, I've already had flu this year, and a flu jab, and I've been taking multivitamins for the winter - I've been run-down from being constantly ill from having poisoned myself a lot, and me and mum have worked out I must have yuppie flu, which is starting to get better.
On the plus side, as I did some work from home today, I did some excel stuff in OpenOffice. Some of the things it did were different and annoying and I ended up in excel, but mostly I really liked it. It remembers things you copy for a start.
And I have started writing my Jack/Liz fic, when I've been lying down for a bit and my brain feels slightly less full of cotton wool. And I'm onto the Tescos ibuprofen, which taste of smarties.
