I knew I was having a bad day this morning when I woke up at 6.15am and couldn't get back to sleep. Then my milk had gone off and my pink grapefruit turned out to be yellow, despite being labelled pink. I'll eat red, but yellow is so disgusting I just can't. So my breakfast was porridge.

I did half my drive down in an hour, then stopped at the services to change my CD. Something talking to concentrate on was a big help - music isn't enough of a distraction. Then I hit the queues and the other half of my journey took two and a half hours (although that included another stop).

It's annoying that my parents live on the coast, so is a place where people go on holiday. Especially for a long weekend when the weather's nice (I saw lots of caravans on the motorway). So it means that when I go home, everyone's going in the same direction as me.
