I've been on a remix reading spree and read everything I liked the look of. Of those, these are the ones I liked the best. The ones I thought were particularly good I will be reviewing for Haven Reviews after the authors are announced.

I really enjoyed reading through these. I tend to read more varied stuff for remix - and more fanfic period, than I have at the moment - so there are all sorts of interesting gems in here.

Alias

Laura (The Face in the Misty Light Remix) - This has such a lovely, and inevitably sad, look at Jack and Laura and their relationship.

Burial Ground (The Rambaldi Remix) - This one's so sad and so complicated, as the relationship between Sydney and Sloane is. And the author did a great job of making it fit to canon.

Broken Man (Bearer of Burdens Remix) - It's so hard for Sydney to deal with Vaughn's torture. I was broken after reading this.

Doctor Who

Once Upon an Uncertainty Principle (The Time and Again Remix) - The Doctor characterisation in this is fantastic and there are loads of great lines in it.

Cheer Up, Emo Time Moppet (An Up-to-Date Story for Today's Youth) - I liked the original of these and this has the same slightly silly tone. I like the way it's done through diary entries.

The Mind of Shiva (The Vishnu Overdub) - This is from the TARDIS's POV, so it's nicely different.

Universal Safety Net (The 10 Seconds Remix) - This has a great structure as the 10 seconds are weaved into it.

The Strangest of Places (The lacrimosa dies illa Remix) - This is sad but very clever.

Torchwood

Reach Out and Touch (Within Your Reach remix) - This is a great second person story, that's sweet and sad.

Happiness is a Sly Smirk (Natural and Greek remix) - This is fun, with Jack and Ianto the Doctor's companions.

Doctor Who/Harry Potter

Who So Loves Believes the Impossible (The Metaphysical Gravity Remix) - This is a great crossover. The alternate universe Harry Potter has some great differences, and leads to some really heartbreaking scenes.

Farscape

Real Men Wear Tights (The Heart-to-Heart Remix) - Little D'Argo is the perfect combination of his parents and his surroundings, and Crichton answers his questions beautifully.

Harry Potter

Falling Apart in Slow Motion (The Brother's Keeper Remix) - I don't usually care about Regulus Black, but I did in this fic.

My Candle Burns at Both Ends (The Extended Combustion Remix) - Such a sad Sirius/Remus fic.

Agony Aunt (The Tidy Up Remix) - Sirius is very Sirius-like in this, and Remus' job is very interesting.

Dudley Dursley and the Hogwarts Letter (the Top of the Pops Remix) - This is a great premise for an AU to start with, but the remixer fleshes out Dudley well, and makes you feel sorry for him.

On Knowledge (All Ye Know on Earth, and all Ye Need to Know Remix) - Read the original before or after you read this one, because it's not just from a different POV but the whole story fits with the original too.

The Fallacy of Hirsuteness (The HJ Hughes Remix) - Funny, if slightly horrible, and an interesting look at Sirius.

Lullaby (the 20 Random Facts Remix) - This is stories from the 20 random facts list, and they're so beautiful and sad.

The End of Sirius Blank (The Long Live Sirius Remix) - I felt so sorry for Sirius in this, as he has to adjust to not being sorted into Slytherin.

Not Enough (With the Someone's Future Coda) - Another story that makes me feel for Regulus. The relationship between him and Remus is particularly interesting.

The Edge of the River (The Hudson Palisades Remix) - Another sad story, but hopeful too.

Our Daily Bread (The Whole of the Moon Remix) - This is just lovely and poetic.

A Photograph of a Boy (Out of Eden Remix) - This is so sad. And interesting to read the original to find out who the photo really is of.

The Year of Living Dangerously (Cold Feet Remix) - There's a great OC in here, who has an interesting friendship with Remus, just when he needs it.

Lord of the Rings

Elf of the Cave, Elf of the Spray (Goodbyes are Long Remix) - This was remixed from mine. I can't quite bring myself to re-read mine because I wrote it a while ago, so it's not great. But the author here has added in a whole load of stuff showing us Elrond and Elros and makes it so much richer than the original.

Stargate

Hard Candy Shell (The Third Party Remix) - I like the contrast in here with how the team react to events just preceding the start of the story. It's easy to empathise with Kate Heightmeyer as she tries to help.

Those Eyebrows-! (Methods of Governance Remix) - This is fun. Cam's being Cam and excited about missions, and Teal'c buys stormtrooper action figures on ebay.

Trigger Finger (The Eleven O'Clock Remix) - This is told an unusual way, since how we learn what happened is through news reports.

The Thirty Years War (The White Space Remix) - This is a really interesting look at Clone!Jack's life.

Atlantis

Pegasus English (The James Bond Remix) - A lovely, fun, team fic.

soon again gone (hurry up and wait) - This doesn't entirely make sense without the original but it complements it, so well, and you get so much more out of both of them from reading them both.

The Hunt (Purple Nurple Remix) - Sheppard and McKay being Sheppard and McKay. Say no more.

Home (The Felis Catus Mix) - Rodney is so sweet with his cat. And eventual car replacement.

Supply and Demand (the Marginal Propensities Remix) - This is a great AU and the remix author has done a great job of changing the POV and changing the whole thing.

Sunday Undies (a clipping from The Atlantis Star) - Atlantis in the style of Sex and the City by Laura Cadman, and it's just so well done.

Kahs-Wa (The Long Cold Road Out of Hell Remix) - It's almost an alternative Grace Under Pressure and works so well.

We Used To Be Friends (The ComeOnNowSugar, BringItOnBringItOnYeah Remix) - This is such a good look at Elizabeth's life, and totally convinced me of the McKay/Weir pairing (in this fic at least) which is one of the few Atlantis pairings I don't care much for.

The Wisdom of Youth (Hard to Rely on the Rhythm Remix) - This is written backwards and works so well.

Control (Atonal Cadenza Remix) - A Wraith ship POV, so unusual and all the more interesting for it.

I *heart* Boston (The Amanda Dillingham Young Remix) - I like this bookshop/librarian AU.

Nothing to Fear (The Guardian Remix) - A lovely Atlantis POV.

Star Wars: TPM

I Shall Be Released (Catharsis Remix) - A sad Obi-Wan fic.

The West Wing

Living in Dangerous Times (Carry-on Baggage Remix) - The characters felt spot-on in this and Josh's bag was great symbolism
