Melli asked me some really hard questions:

1. You get to ask three authors, one from TV, one screenwriter and one book author to write something for you, whether it be another chapter/scene in one of their novels or a new episode of a TV show. Who would you pick and what would you ask them to write?

I don't know the names of the writers enough but I'd get one of The Bill writers to write an episode from the 1980s.

I'd get Chris Boucher to write the ultimate PGP (Blakes 7).

And Lewis Carroll to write another Alice book. Or just a scene/chapter, since a whole book might be greedy :)

2. What is the best experience and the worst experience you've had in fandom? And was the worst and best experience in the same fandom?

It's hard to narrow them down, I've been in so many fandoms, it seems like!

The worst experience was probably when Stargate fandom blew up and all of a sudden you had to take sides. I was on the shipper side but my friends in the fandom were slashers, and there were people who couldn't understand how shippers and slashers can possibly be friends. One of them felt the need to tell me why I was on the wrong side too. In person.

The best is probably just having been in The Bill fandom that means I have more friends in Australia than in any other country. I'm going back in 2010, hopefully :)

The best and worst in the same fandom would probably be The Bill. The best being the above, the worst being when it blew up a bit over the Pog & Puke thing. I'm still bitter about the whole storyline!

3. So what are you favourite five cities you've been to and why are they your favourites? What about least favourites?

1. Prague. It was the combination of the old and new: cobbled streets but still had an internet cafe - and this was in 1999

2. Sydney. The town I come from has the second largest natural harbour in the world, and Sydney has the largest. So it feels a lot like home there, and doesn't have streets laid out in a grid that are so much harder to navigate. I could do without the humidity though.

3. Washington, DC. Because it was pretty and navigatable.

4. Oxford. Despite the tourists and the students. But they do have three big bookshops and I know where the good pubs are :)

5. Budapest. I just quite liked it. I'm not really a city person.

Least favourites: London is probably top of that list. I like to visit it, but I like coming home better. There are just too many people there for me to cope with comfortably for too long.

New York. I just found it very claustrophobic, and similarly busy.

Carlisle. It's not that bad, but it is up north.

Bratisalava. Because there just isn't anything there.

4. If you could only visit one city in the world that you haven't been too what would it be and what would you do there?

I really want to go to Edinburgh, partly because it doesn't require a plane flight. I don't know what I'd do there, but I'm sure there'll be the usual stuff to do and plenty to look at. I'd get the sleeper train back to London, though, because people always got on sleeper trains in books I read as a child and I've never been on one. I don't know how much I'd sleep, hence the need to go home on it, so I can sleep when I get home! And because they get it at something like 7am, so you have to get up early either way.

5. Tell me your favourite West Wing, Harry Potter and The Bill fanfics?

The Bill I haven't really read fanfic in. I tried a bit but there's nothing really in that fandom that I want to read fanfic for.

For the West Wing I haven't read anything for ages. But I checked my reviews at Haven Reviews and there's a Buffy/West Wing one I really enjoyed called Donna the Vampire Slayer. I remember Nomad's stuff sounding a lot like the episodes.

There's a few Harry Potter ones that really stand out as ones I remember, when looking through the list of ones I've recced. All for different reasons, but they are:
Defence Against the Dark Creature
Mapmakers (Making Moony Laugh: The Suicide is Painless Remix)
So You Want to Transfigure Yourself a Rock Band
Dudley Dursley and the Hogwarts Letter (the Top of the Pops Remix)
Nobody Said It Was Easy
Harry Potter and the Polka Dot Plague
Seven Things That Never Happened at Hogwarts on Valentine's Day, Or Maybe They Did
Stealing Harry
