1.What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
Go to Romania with Habitat for Humanity. Which sounds like a cheating answer but actually covers an awful lot of things I've never done before.

2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I made any. I don't really have any specific ones for next year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Kacey did, but I don't know that she counts as close.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
Romania, Hungary.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Peace and quiet.

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
2nd June - the date I flew out to Romania.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Going to a foreign country and not being that ill.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Discovering I really can't eat any mushrooms or eggs or much wheat/gluten.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No injuries, but there has been my back and the usual food things.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
New telly.

Food and rent and the car.

Going to Romania.

I spent it at home getting lots of things done.

Sarah Jane Adventures was the new one I got excited about.

I can no longer remember what I read this year, so I'll say The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold.

Didn't really have any.

New telly.

Peace and quiet.

Stardust.

I went to the Rotaract Conference.

Cheap.

People.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d predicted?

I wrote more than I thought. It comes to fewer words than last year but more fics. Although I have written a lot of RP prompts which I haven't counted.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2007?
All the fandoms I wrote it for Yuletide. And the four PWPs I wrote.

What’s your favourite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
UNIT Christmas Party and Strange Men and Old Girls because they were the most fun to write.

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?
There were the previously mentioned PWPs. Although I feel like I've said everything I want to about those now. The fic I wrote for Remix was action, which I'd never really done before. I wrote for Yuletide, which was great fun.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
I seriously need to get a script past first draft. I signed up for TARDIS Big Bang so I have to write a 20,000 word story for that. In fic and prompts I have plans to write a romance, which I've never done before. I want to go back to LOTR fics - I have a few abandoned on my hard drive, I just need to remind myself of the write tone to finish them.
