I have been unexpectedly in tonight. I was supposed to have a Rotaract meeting, but last night I thought I had better check with the person running it when and where it was and his response was, "What meeting?" So, that was cancelled, funnily enough.

So tonight they had a second episode of Torchwood on BBC3 immediately after the one on BBC2. Well, according to the EPG it was immediately after. According to my TV guide it was 10 minutes after. Mind you, the TV guide also said there was a character in the second episode called Martha Jojones, so clearly they can't be trusted. Fortunately, I always go by the EPG when setting things up to record.

I really liked the first episode tonight, I hated the second because it was so icky. The pre-watershed repeat would have helped a bit, but it had contact lenses in. I spent the entire time Martha was wearing them, well, not cringing exactly, but concentrating on my cross stitch and trying not to think about it. I might have to watch something else before I can go to bed because my eyes still feel funny. And to think I've worn contact lenses too. I'm not quite sure how I managed that, except that I had much shorter nails.

UNIT wear red caps these days, hmm, that's interesting.

On the Jack/Ianto front: they've been measuring their dicks! They're just big children really. I did like Ianto's description of Jack in bed as avant-garde. The way he was when he was talking about it, and the way he looked when Martha turned up, I think it's more than just dabbling to Ianto. What Jack thinks about it, though, is another question entirely.

I am less happy about Gwen revealing she loves Jack more than Rhys. Because Rhys is sweet and doesn't deserve that. I want to say what does she see in Jack anyway, but that's a silly question. It would be nice to see more of Owen being less cynical. Assuming he comes back to life, which I'm sure he will - I haven't seen any spoilers and am quite happy to be surprised.

I am terribly excited, though, that Martha is UNIT's MO! She's Harry's replacement - except that there would have been others in between them. But clearly there needs to be fic for this *cough* *cough*
