Dear Yuletide Writer

Dear Yuletide Writer,

This year this letter is just a copy of my sign up, in case it helps to have it in this format. Fandoms I have requested are:
Belinda Blinked (Any: Belinda Blumenthal, Bella, Giselle)
Daisy Dalrymple (Any: Daisy Dalrymple, Alec Fletcher)
The Avengers (John Steed, Emma Peel)
Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) (Any: Jeff Randall, Marty Hopkirk, Jeannie Hopkirk)

Belinda Blinked (any: Belinda, Bella, Giselle)
General likes: Stories that feel like a piece of canon, stories that make me laugh, banter, friendship, unusual formats (eg epistolary, IF, five things etc) as well as the usual formats

General dislikes/DNW: Levels of sex/language/violence that would be out of place in the original, Bodily fluids (unless it's blue), anything that will put me off my food (since I often read Yuletide with breakfast), setting change AUs

I am up-to-date with My Dad Wrote a Porno.

What I love about this is a complete insanity. The lack of plot, the lack of knowledge of female anatomy, Belinda's passivity, the semi-colons. For this request, go mad. Make it as ridiculous as you like. I am happy to read about any of the characters or an original character.

Some prompts to give you some ideas:
- Given Belinda's interview, what would her annual review/appraisal be like?
- Someone dealing with the blue cake at Tony and Giselle's wedding (please don't have anyone eat it).
- The Duchess invites Belinda to go horse riding (however you want to interpret 'horse riding').
- How far will Belinda go for a turkey sandwich?
- Can Belinda sell more pots and pans? Or just give more away?
- Does Steele's do anything else for The Asses and Donkeys Trust? Maybe an actual tombola, with sex toys or woks (or something else completely insane).

Daisy Dalrymple (any: Daisy, Alec)
General likes: Stories that feel like a piece of canon, stories that make me laugh, stories that make me cry, stories that give me warm fuzzy feelings, banter, friendship, what if AUs, unusual formats (eg epistolary, IF, five things etc) as well as the usual formats

General dislikes/DNW: Levels of sex/language/violence that would be out of place in the original, character death of any regular characters, setting change AUs

I love all the period stuff in this - the hemlines, the cloches, the scandal of Daisy marrying a policeman. I love a good murder mystery. I love how Daisy helps solve them and Alec has given up stopping her. Or from stopping her doing anything she doesn't want to.

I'd love something set before they get married - we don't see a lot of them going on dates or her first meeting with Belinda. Do Daisy and Lucy talk about their respective boyfriends with each other? Or something about how Daisy and Lucy ended up living together.

I'd equally like something set after their wedding. Does Alec ever tell Belinda stories of her mother? I like how protective her is of her. Or not long after Daisy and Alec's marriage and more of them dealing with Alec's mother - I did enjoy that in Die Laughing. Or I'd really like to know how Lucy got on after Daisy got married but before Lucy did - did she continue living on her own, did she find a new housemate?

I'd love to see more of Alec and Gerald interacting, whether before or after either of their weddings.

I'd also love case fic - I do love a good murder mystery.

The Avengers (John Steed, Emma Peel)
General likes: Stories that feel like a piece of canon, stories that make me laugh, stories that make me cry, stories that give me warm fuzzy feelings, banter, friendship, what if AUs, unusual formats (eg epistolary, IF, five things etc) as well as the usual formats

General dislikes/DNW: Levels of sex/language/violence that would be out of place in the original, killing Steed or Peel, shipping Steed and Peel, setting change AUs

I love the whimsy in this. The organisations with interesting acronyms. Steed's aunts. The slightly oddball things they investigate. The "Mrs Peel, we're needed". Steed's bowler hat. All the champagne they drink. The skills Emma knows that she works on at the beginning of episodes. Pulling boiling kettles out of hampers and identifying the part of the vineyard the wine came from.

I also love the relationship between Steed and Peel. I'm not into shipping it, but I like how they flirt and how well they work together. I like that they're equals and she saves him almost as much as he saves her. I like that she's considered more dangerous than him.

I'd love something whimsical. Something that shows off their knowledge and/or how well they work together. Something where she saves him. Something with an impossible mystery that turns out to have a Earthly solution, if all done by diabolical masterminds.

Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) (any: Jeff, Marty, Jeannie)
General likes: Stories that feel like a piece of canon, stories that make me laugh, stories that make me cry, stories that give me warm fuzzy feelings, banter, friendship, what if AUs, unusual formats (eg epistolary, IF, five things etc) as well as the usual formats

General dislikes/DNW: Levels of sex/language/violence that would be out of place in the original, non-canonical (permanent) character death (unless they come back as ghosts), shipping Jeff and Jeannie, setting change AUs

I love the relationships between the three main characters in this. I like how Jeff and Marty are best friends: how Jeff is clearly happier with a (living) partner in the first episode. I like how Marty is a worrier who is reduced to annoying Jeff until Jeff does what Marty wants. I like how Jeannie is sometimes okay and sometimes missing Marty more. And how Marty spends time with her and still worries about her. And I like how Jeff and Jeannie are friends with Marty (and missing Marty) in common, and how they look out for each other. I see the two of them as friends, with nothing more likely to ever happen between them.

I wish Jeannie had more to do in this. How about if she takes on some cases when Jeff is laid up with a broken leg in The Ghost Talks? After all, without cases how is Jeff going to pay the bills? Maybe he advises and Marty goes along with her to help/worry. Or maybe she deals with clients and creditors while Jeff is out on cases?

I'd equally like to see something with Jeff and Marty and their friendship. Given Marty's tendency to pop up at the wrong moment (eg when Jeff has taken a woman back to his place) how about five times Marty interrupted Jeff's private time? Or I'd love to see Marty saving Jeff in ways that doesn't involve finding people who can hear him. Or maybe just something before Marty dies, perhaps with a boring divorce case that Jeff hates so much.

I'd also like to see the format played with. What if Randall and Hopkirk get a client who has been prompted to visit because of his own haunting? Once Marty finds a psychic who can hear him, does he go back to them? Does he haunt hospitals to help the recently dead (either to come to terms with their death, or send them back to their body)?
