Summary: The Doctor and Ian practise their sword fighting skills.

Ian took a hasty step backwards: the Doctor was faster than he looked. When he lunged again Ian found the lab wall solid against his back.

He waited until the Doctor let his guard down, thinking he couldn't lose. What he'd forgotten was the Doctor never lost. The Doctor parried easily and Ian, who hadn't been expecting it, couldn't do anything in response to the Doctor's riposte.

"Well, done." The Doctor's personal cheering squad, aka Jo Grant, congratulated him.

Ian had to settle for a commiserating pat on the shoulder from Barbara and the offer of a rematch another day.
