The Doctor and Ace hunkered down while pieces of the building flew past them. Nitro-9 and the mild explosives hidden in the basement were not a good mix, it turned out.
“What did I say about Nitro-9?” he asked, clinging to his umbrella.
“Not to use it.”
“And yet you used it.”
“Because usually when you tell me not to use it you mean you want me to use it and you can pretend it was nothing to do with you! Anyway,” she added, as the safe they’d been trying to get into landed beside them, “it worked, didn’t it?”
